Professional Development & Leadership

mr moI am very committed to my Professional Development as a teacher. I am always on the lookout for new challenges from which I can learn and grow.

Having started my career as an Economics, Business Studies and Statistics teacher, taking initiative and putting my hand-up for a drama teaching job was a very big challenge! What made the challenge even bigger was that there was no curriculum at the school and I had to create my own. That was a great learning experience for me, and a fun one too.

As an eLearning Leader and iPad Coordinator at the Australian International Academy (2010 – 2014), I invested a lot in my Professional Development through blogging, publishing with Oxford University Press (ELT Blog) as well as Education Magazine, presenting in several seminars and conferences, and delivering several workshops. I was rewarded the ‘Top Performers’ Award – Silver Category’ at the Australian International Academy for 2013.

In the following sub-pages is a documentation of the most significant and most important Professional Development I have undertaken in the past few years:

Professional Development for me as a ‘Drama Teacher’

Professional Development for me as an ‘eLearning Leader and/or iPad Co-ordinator’

Professional Development for me as an ‘Educator’pa teacher
